A THING CALLED CHANGE

Change is inevitable.

People, places,

priorities, tastes,

relationships, mates,

seasons and days,

everything changes.

Then how can

someone hope

for the other

to not change?

When the road

beneath them-

a road on which

they travelled together

isn’t anymore the same.

Time changes,

value changes,

meaning changes;

But in another world

some bonds,

some friends, some mates

stay the same

hoping their world

won’t change.

How stupid of them

to not know

stability isn’t an easy game.

Those stable ones

are the only players

caged in gate of ‘pain.’

Simmi Bhatnagar who hails from Bareilly is an old soul experiencing life in her mid twenties.
