Food for thought

Food for thought

Shehnaj Parveen Sarma

To all those people  who really thinks life just happens to be wonderful for some people and to them life has never been kind – whatever they do success is not meant for them. As I have observed and experienced myself-for those who have created a difference in their lives it took them a lot of struggle, hard work, perseverance, integrity and resilience. These are the people who didn’t stop working because they couldn’t make it at once, twice or couple of times . They worked even harder, modelled other successful people and worked differently.

Challenge yourself. Pursuing a goal that is achievable but not necessarily easy, is a great way to increase motivation to succeed. · Stay curious to learn new things and keep the motivation of bouncing back if things doesn’t work according to what you expected.

Here is something that you can do:-

Create a transformational mindset.
Visualise your goals.

Don’t let your comfort zone hold you back. Learn to be productive.

Set boundaries with others.
Advocate for your own needs.

Be educated. Education gives you the knowledge, skills, and credibility to achieve your maximum potential.

Enjoy the present moment- If you are constantly dwelling on the past or daydreaming about the future, you are missing out on the present moment. Remember that the past and the future are simply illusions, and that real life takes place here and now.

Prioritise your health- no health, no wealth.

Set smart goals -Planning is not sufficient; keeping your word is also important. You have to actually do it to achieve it, keep yourself committed.

Before you can achieve success, you will have to define what success means to you — and no one else can do that for you. While it may take years to realize what you want to do with your life, identifying your passions, interests, and values will help you set goals and give your life a sense of meaning.

Unfortunately, many people measure their own success by comparing it to the success of those around them. If you want to feel accomplished and happy, you will have to value your life for its own sake.

For those who still think life is not fair – model someone whom you think life has been fair to . If what you are doing is not working do something else, change your pattern, create a new Nuero pathway by repeating success.

Ask yourself these questions if it’s still difficult

Q.What do you want your legacy to be?

Q.How would you like to be remembered by others?

Q.How do you want to make your community a better place?

Everything in life needs that extra effort like going out on a hot summer day to meet your friends and reliving the moment and cherishing those memories of yester years , your efforts to keep connected with people who matters, doing something even small that makes someone happy-similarly creating a life of your choice needs that “extra” extra effort. It’s your life you are the captain sail it smooth to reach the shore .

No matter how much you achieve in life, you will always feel unhappy if you constantly focus on what you don’t have. Instead, devote time every day to appreciating the things you do have. Think beyond material items appreciate your loved ones, and cherish happy memories.
