I have learnt only to respond.
I have not learnt to be disrespectful,
I have not learnt to be insensitive,
I have not learnt to be uncaring.
But I have learnt only to behave
in response to your behaviour,
I have learnt only to answer
in response to your treatment.
I have nothing to complaint against
anyone and anything,
because you are true to yourself
and I too cannot be untrue.
I have been made by the time
and the circumstances
that I have gone through,
I am not unearthly
I have been made by this Earth only.
